You’re invited – yes, this is an invitation for you to join us in WMU!  Why WMU?  Because:

Our Biblically-sound, relevant resources help people of all ages learn about and pray for missions.

We create opportunities for you to give, serve and support missions.

Through our ministries, you can bring restoration and transformation to people throughout the world.

We, as Southern Baptists, have the privilege of supporting our Southern Baptist missionaries and ministries by giving monetary offerings.

Hooray – let’s celebrate!!! Thank you, FBC, for giving $60,190.95 to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering! We were able to light all of the lights on our giving tree showing we met and surpassed our goal!!!

In 2020, we gave:

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering - $16,730.00

Mildred Smith Offering for Associational Missions - $5,560.00

Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions - $14,810.00

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering - $60,190.95

These monetary offerings/gifts help our missionaries support their families and purchase needed supplies used in sharing God’s love with those locally and around the world

Fiber Fanatics

Fiber Fanatics would like to thank Susanne Bacchetta’s daughter, Cindy, for the donation of approximately 200 dolls after her mother’s death.

Fiber Fanatics would like to thank Susanne Bacchetta’s daughter, Cindy, for the donation of approximately 200 dolls after her mother’s death. Susanne is a former member of FBC - passing away in June 2020.

The group has clothed approximately 90 dolls so far -- most will be for the Operation Christmas Child packing party in November.

A note from Cindy--

A little about my Momma, she's Susanne Bacchetta.

She lived on Kings Grant Road in Lugoff. Many knew her as the Doll Lady and she was active in the community. She worked here in Kershaw County, having a career with DuPont, and later volunteered and worked at the hospital. She was Secretary for the local VFW for years, taught many arts and crafts classes, and taught many children here to bowl. She was a great bowler, having bowled six (perfect) 300 games in her life. She was an artist - making beautiful dolls, painting, knitting, crocheting, doing every form of needlework. She cooked for the masses and so much more.

If it didn't move, she would find a way to make it more beautiful. She loved animals, playing the piano and playing in the garden. She was a bird lover too and said there was something extra sweet about a little critter hiding behind a flower.

The thought she was compelled to share with everyone was..."Is it not OUR father in Heaven?". She loved everyone the same and she was very generous with her time, talents and love - just like you ladies. I'm so proud of her.

I'm sure there is so much more to say, but I'm so partial. I am so blessed to have found you ladies to help get Momma's intentions out there to children - children that need something happy in their little lives. She never ran out of ideas but she ran out of energy. She would be delighted that you have picked up the torch and are carrying on the mission to spread joy. I applaud you all!
