First Baptist Church Camden, SC is prayerfully seeking a full-time Minister of Music to administer and oversee a complete musical worship program with a blended worship style for a loving congregation. Candidates should have an extensive musical background with required musical disciplines and proficiencies in composition, development of vast instrumental arrangements as well as the ability to conduct choirs, ensembles, soloists, and orchestra during regular church services and special musical events. Additional responsibilities include the ability to shepherd and recruit choir and orchestra volunteers, professional musicians, the preparation and oversight of an annual financial budget for the music program, and hospital visitation. The Minister of Music must remain proficient in their own instrumentation and vocal musical skills and must lead the music ministry and worship services in accordance with the Church’s Constitution and By-Laws.
