Women's Ministry

Welcome to GEMS!

(God Encouraging Me Through Sisters)

The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Camden

The purpose of our Women's Ministry is to bring women of all ages together for Christian fellowship and growth, encouraging them to seek Him continually, serve Him faithfully, and share Him boldly.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Are you feeling like life has tossed out more than you can do and no time for girlfriends and even God? We want to help and encourage women to take the time to slow down and connect our hearts to one another and to Jesus!

GEMS (God Encouraging Me through Sisters) is our ministry for women of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. The one thing that unites us together is our desire to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and touch the lives of others with the gospel.

You are invited to join us as we walk together on the path God has for us to be His light. Our desire is that every woman will feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued, as we experience the amazing love of Christ that transforms lives.

We are not a perfect church, but we serve a God who is perfect. Come as you are. Taste and see that the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever!

We look forward to gathering with you soon!

Priscilla shirer live in charleston

Wanted to share with you (plus any friends and relatives you'd like to invite) a wonderful opportunity to see Priscilla Shirer LIVE in Charleston this summer, July 20-21. It will be an overnight trip, with sessions Friday evening and Saturday morning. The tickets will be $59 each and we have a good deal on the hotel arrangements

If you are not familiar with Priscilla, she is a dynamic Christian speaker and author. We have completed several of her Bible Studies, like Armor of God. You also may remember her in the lead female role in the movie War Room. She also is the daughter of preacher/evangelist Tony Evans. So, she comes with a solid foundation and brings truth whenever she speaks.

I know that it's only March and this event is not until July, but tickets will sell out soon...especially since this is the first time (or at least in a very long time) she's been in SC.

Right now, we're simply on a fact-finding mission! We just need to see how many folks are definitely interested in going, so that we can purchase an appropriate number of tickets.

Will you please (1) let the office know or (2) call, text or email me, Betsy Stevens by next Wednesday if you'd really like to go..There's also a post on Facebook where you may let me know, as well.
